CALIFORNIA — The National Retail Federation posted a story from its STORES magazine that reported McDonald’s now offers table service at more than 600 of its restaurants in Southern California.

McDonald’s, based in Oakbrook, Ill., is trying out the new concept along with other measures to offer a more upscale experience at the restaurants.

The new “TasteCrafted” menu givers diners the option to customize their meals with a selection of proteins and breads that are then topped with sauces like pico guacamole, bacon clubhouse and hot jalapeno.
